The Shire traditionally hosts two local level events each year and has the opportunity to bid on Kingdom level events if we choose. In the recent past we have hosted the Royal University of Meridies 2005, co-hosted Castle Wars, and hosted Fall Crown List 2007. This year look for July Feast. July Feast
Held (when else?) in July of each year - except when it is held in June - this event traditionally has a weighted team list and at least one individual list, with many other activities throughout the day. Thorngill's renowned cooks always produce a fabulous feast for your dining pleasure, with dancing and merriment afterwards. This year's July Feast will feature the Weighted Team List, a feast by Mistress Constance Aveline Merrifield, a Revel, and many other activities.
Harvest Moon/Toys for Tots
Traditionally held in October, Harvest Moon is also home to the Toys for Tots list to collect toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. A Toys for Tots list is held where the entry fee is one (or more) toys.
This year Thorngill will not be holding Harvest Moon.
Thistle Area Gathering (TAG) - TBA
From time to time, the Shire hosts an afternoon mini-event where we gather to enjoy lunch, sometimes a short business meeting, and an afternoon of fun - lots of fighting and other revelry. Check this site from time to time to see when and where the next TAG will be! In the Thistle Area? Grab your chairs, pavilions and armor and join us!
